Our Community Wellbeing Co-ordinator, Dave Pickard helped organise a music festival fundraiser at the Bruce Arms in North Yorkshire – raising a total £1,218.20 for the charity.

The festival, was the first of its kind to be held at the 18th century bar and restaurant, perfectly located in the picturesque village of Masham, the gateway to the Yorkshire Dales. The fundraiser included live music, glitter face painting, and an amazing raffle prize draw for all the locals to enjoy.

Dave was pleased at the significant amount of money raised and thankful to all the stakeholders involved.

He said: “To have raised in excess of £1,200 is very rewarding but I couldn’t have done it on my own.

“With that being said, I would like to say thank you to Emma Green for helping put together the event, Rebecca Musgrave, Beth Rodney and David Henn for volunteering on the day and Stacey Jakeman for providing us with the fabulous glitter face painting.

“Also massive thank you to Sharon Carter-Ward and Rosie Mae for hosting the music festival and everyone who donated such amazing raffle prizes.”
