The Kaleidoscope Plus Group Chief Executive, Monica Shafaq

Our Chief Executive, Monica Shafaq has responded to the new mental health rights proposed by Minister Norman Lamb.

She said: “We fully support the Government’s proposals regarding the need for improved mental health rights announced today.

“We have been campaigning tirelessly to ensure the individuals affected by mental ill health along with their families and friends are given a platform to be heard rather than being simply ignored.

“Here at The Kaleidoscope Plus Group we believe listening to our service users is essential in ensuring we offer the necessary support and help they require and it’s a travesty this isn’t the case for all.

“It is now essential the proposals are put into operation sooner rather than later because in the interim people will continue to suffer, which is simply not acceptable.”
