The Kaleidoscope Plus Group’s service user involvement strategy, People In Mind (PIM) have been awarded funding courtesy of Harborne Parish Lands Charity to deliver the PIM Hope Project in the Mezz at our head office, Hawthorns House.
Harborne Parish Lands Charity works to help people who are in need or live in the ancient parish of Harborne and do this using their strong links they have in the area they serve.
The PIM Hope Project aims to become a recognised ‘hub’ for mental health information, crisis and support, giving aid to people who have become isolated. The hub will enable easy and safe access to information regarding mental ill health as well signposting, mentoring and social networks giving ‘hope’ to all individuals who access it.
The project will focus primarily to help individuals based in the Smethwick, Harborne and Quinton areas, however anybody who wants to access the service outside of these locations will be fully supported.
Anybody accessing the service will also have the opportunity to be referred on to The Kaleidoscope Plus Group’s services as well as other mental health and wellbeing services across Sandwell. In addition to this, people using the service will be able to attend PIM’s other peer led activities such as PIM2PIM support and Silence of Suicide groups, PIM Unity, alongside joining PIM’s established and ever-growing social and support network.
