The Kaleidoscope Plus Group’s Community Wellbeing service ended the calendar year with a splash by treating service users to a day trip to the National Sea Life Centre in Birmingham.
The National Sea Life Centre is an aquarium with over 60 displays of freshwater and marine life in the heart of Birmingham.
Its one-million-litre ocean tank houses giant green sea turtles, blacktip reef sharks and tropical reef fish, with a fully transparent underwater tunnel.
The day trip was organised by Community Wellbeing Worker, Rebecca Clark as a way to treat service users and boost their mood and wellbeing.
Rebecca feels the trip was a fun experience and certainly benefited service users whilst proving educational.
She said: “All the service users who came along thoroughly enjoyed themselves.
“Surprising, the trip was also very educational and great form of exercise too.
“The day at the National Sea Life Centre definitely increased wellbeing and also covered 4 of the 5 ways to Wellbeing, those being Connect, Be Active, Take Notice and Keep Learning.
“Due to the success and positive feedback, I hope we can organise day outs like this more often in the future as I believe they will only help our service users.”
