In April, the Smethwick Soul Crew got their boogie on at Thimblemill Recreation Club for the Smethwick Soul Night Reunion all in an effort to help raise funds for their chosen charity, The Kaleidoscope Plus Group.
The night of entertainment was enjoyed by many with lots of fun activities on the night, including a raffle draw offering lots of fantastic prizes kindly donated by the Smethwick Soul Crew and others in the local community.
Thanks to a culmination of effort from all involved, the Soul Night Reunion proved to be a massive success raising a total of £849 for the charity.
Support Services Manager at The Kaleidoscope Plus Group, Mary Hannibal helped organise the Soul Night Reunion and was overwhelmed with the generosity of all.
She said: “I was so happy when I found out we had raised over £800 for The Kaleidoscope Plus Group.
“It wasn’t just the amount raised which pleased me, It was also the fact that the evening itself helped generate awareness around mental health and wellbeing and the significance of it.
“As the Smethwick Soul Crew say, reunion nights are always charity nights and this was certainly proven with the generosity which was shown from everybody.”
The Kaleidoscope Plus Group would like to give a special mention to Dave and Sue Johnson as well as their team for providing their services free of charge and would like to say thank you to everybody who attended the Soul Night Reunion and donated to the charity.
