The Kaleidoscope Plus Group’s charity shop has offered a help in hand to Shelter, West Bromwich by donating much of their unsold stock to the organisation.
Shelter, West Bromwich sells a wide range of second-hand furniture, including electrical goods, new and second-hand clothes, books and DVDs. By people donating unwanted items it allows Shelter to fund vital work to support families facing homelessness across Sandwell and the West Midlands.
Community Engagement and Fundraising Coordinator, Kirstie Barnes overseas The Kaleidoscope Plus Group charity shop and is the one who reached out to Shelter, West Bromwich.
She said: “Being a charity ourselves we know what it is like to support vulnerable people so offering unwanted goods made perfect sense.
“For us to be able to provide good quality resources to Shelter, West Bromwich makes me feel very proud especially around Christmas as people who are homeless don’t always have the essentials they need.
“We are always looking to donate anything we can to Shelter; in particular duvet’s, sleeping bags and blankets so if have anything of the sort I urge you to drop it off to our charity shop.”
The charity shop is based at The Kaleidoscope Plus Group head office, Hawthorns House, on the ground floor of the building and is open Monday-Friday from 11:00am – 03:00pm.
