The Kaleidoscope Plus Group have been successful in winning a contract from Sandwell Council to deliver a “Primary Mental Health Workers” service across Sandwell.

As part of the contract the charity will employee 9 Primary Mental Health Workers who will be located within each of the 6 Town Community Operating Groups, the Children’s Social Care Team, the Child Sexual Exploitation Team and the Youth Offending Team.

The service will build multi agency capacity and will identify the emotional wellbeing and mental health agenda as ‘Everybody’s Business’, improving emotional wellbeing and reducing crisis.

The service will engage with children, young people, parents and carers that are resident in the Sandwell borough. It will also provide professional consultations and learning opportunities to the universal work force to increase knowledge and skills across the partnership.

Chief Executive, Monica Shafaq is thrilled about winning the contract, she said: “This is a significant contract for us and will enable the organisation to broaden our experience of working with children and young people.”

Director of Operations, Claire Dale is excited about being able to deliver the service as it will benefit the local community.
