We are currently seeking an individual to work as part of our IAPT service who will have the opportunity to obtain a postgraduate certificate in Low Intensity Psychological Interventions in Primary Care:
• IAPT Psychological Wellbeing Practitioner (PWP) trainee £18,838.00 per annum – 37.5 hour week
The certificate in Low Intensity Interventions is a nationally designed qualification for workers providing low intensity interventions as part of the “talking therapies” development plan for the NHS.
It supports the Improving Access to Psychological Therapy (IAPT) Programme.
The Kaleidoscope Plus Group are able to offer Psychological Wellbeing Practitioner Trainee posts for a 12 month contract starting in October 2016.
Appointment is subject to applicants passing Birmingham University’s assessment tests and being offered a place on their course, in addition to The Kaleidoscope Plus Group’s selection process.
You should have a degree in a relevant subject or equivalent (eg NVQ levels 5 and 6).
In addition you should be able to demonstrate some experience of working with people with mental health problems.
Interviews will be held at The Kaleidoscope Plus Group on 22nd or 23rd May 2017 and if successful in interview you must be available to attend Birmingham University on the following days:
• 10th & 11th July 2017 – for interview, written and group tests (if offered a place)
• 2nd October 2017, 9.30am for the induction day at University of Birmingham
Thereafter you will be required to attend Birmingham University mainly on Mondays and Wednesdays until the end of July 2018.
Over the year you will be expected to build up your case management experience and skills in addition to completing the course.
