Kaleidoscope Plus Group Launches Nationwide Challenge Events to Support Mental Health Awareness

Local mental health and wellbeing charity, Kaleidoscope Plus Group announces the launch of an exciting new calendar filled with a variety of fundraising activities and challenges for 2024-25. Open to all thrill-seekers, fitness enthusiasts, and adventure lovers across the UK, the initiative aims to raise vital funds to support the charity’s mental health services while providing participants with unforgettable experiences.

The programme will officially kick off with an internal challenge throughout October, set for the dedicated staff of the Kaleidoscope Plus Group. This inspiring effort will see team members collectively walk, run or swim a total of 546 miles, a poignant tribute to the 546 lives lost to suicide last year in the West Midlands. The challenge will take part throughout October, marking World Mental Health Day on 10th October, a date of significant importance in the mental health community.

Kaleidoscope Plus Group CEO, Calum Nisbet, expressed the organisation’s commitment to both honouring those affected by suicide and promoting mental wellness. “Every mile covered by the Kaleidoscope team is a step towards breaking the stigma surrounding mental health. By turning our internal challenge into a public campaign, we want to engage and inspire others to join us in raising awareness and funds for the critical services we provide.”

The calendar of events offers a wide range of activities suitable for all ages and fitness levels. Participants can choose from exhilarating running and cycling challenges across scenic routes in the UK, adrenaline-pumping events such as bungee jumping and parachute jumps, as well as family fun runs and obstacle races. Each event will not only challenge participants physically and mentally but will also encourage conversations about mental health in a supportive environment.

The launch of this programme marks a significant step forward in the Kaleidoscope Plus Group’s mission to proactively fundraise and by engaging the public in meaningful and accessible challenges, the organisation hopes to create a lasting impact that goes beyond the events themselves.

Members of the public can register for individual challenges or join as teams, making these events perfect for corporate team-building activities, family adventures, or personal milestones.
