Kaleidoscope strikes gold with latest award

A leading mental health charity has struck gold with its latest award.

The Kaleidoscope Plus Group, based in West Bromwich, has achieved the prestigious Investors in People Gold Accreditation.

The charity, which supports people’s mental health and wellbeing, has today welcomed the achievement which it said demonstrates its commitment to its workers as well as its service users.

Chief executive Monica Shafaq said: “We are delighted to have been recognised by Investors in People and achieved their Gold standard.

“The gold accreditation represents achievement of world-class best practice and that we at KPG are operating at the very highest levels of people management practice, using this to drive the charity forward. It is even more remarkable to have been awarded gold given the difficulties presented by Covid-19 and the majority of our workforce having to adapt and work from home.

“The gold award is granted to only seven per cent of organisations and rarely to charities, so this is a wonderful achievement. I feel very proud to be working for a charity that is excelling in the way it engages, motivates and develops its team.”

Investors in People recognises organisations which are truly committed to their people, continuous improvement, and customer service. Its gold accreditation means an organisation has all the correct policies in place but also that everyone – from CEO to apprentice – takes ownership for making them come to life.

Currently only 17% of our accredited organisations achieve Gold.

It also evaluates and benchmarks physical, social and psychological wellbeing and gathers insights into what an organisation is doing well and where it needs improvement.
