Midlands Mental Health Charity Celebrates 50th Anniversary with Gala Dinner

The Kaleidoscope Plus Group, a leading mental health and wellbeing charity, is thrilled to announce its upcoming 50th anniversary Gala dinner, a significant celebration of half a century of dedication to mental health support and awareness.

The midlands-based charity’s Gala dinner is set to take place on Saturday 7th October at The Belfry in Sutton Coldfield, and promises to be an unforgettable evening of reflection, gratitude, and inspiration.

Since their inception in 1973, The Kaleidoscope Plus Group has been committed to promoting positive mental health and wellbeing, providing vital support services and empowering individuals to live fulfilling lives. Over the past five decades, the organisation has touched the lives of countless individuals, families, and communities, raising awareness and challenging stigma surrounding mental health.

The Gala dinner will be a testament to the Kaleidoscope Plus Group’s enduring commitment to mental health advocacy. They’ll look back at what they’ve achieved over the last 50 years with an eye on what is yet to come in the future. The event will bring together distinguished guests, including prominent figures from the entertainment industry, sport, and business, along with community leaders, corporate partners, and dedicated supporters who have played a pivotal role in the organization’s journey.

In addition to the celebrations, the 50th anniversary Gala dinner will also serve as a fundraising event to support the Kaleidoscope Plus Group’s ongoing ventures. Donations made during the evening will contribute to expanding access to their mental health services, raising awareness, and advocating for policy changes that prioritize mental wellbeing.

Monica Shafaq, CEO of the Kaleidoscope Plus Group, said: “We are thrilled to be celebrating such a significant milestone in our company’s history.

“For the last 50 years, we’ve worked tirelessly to create a positive impact on the mental health and wellbeing of our community and this Gala dinner will not only celebrate our accomplishments but will also reaffirm our commitment to continue this vital work in years to come.”

The Gala dinner promises to be a magical night with entertainment being provided by television’s very own Ben Hanlin. The talented magician and presenter is hosting the evening and promises to have a trick or two up his sleeve.

Attendees will also have the opportunity to connect, network, and share their own mental health experiences, fostering a sense of community and solidarity in the pursuit of better mental health for all.

Join the Kaleidoscope Plus Group as they celebrate their 50th anniversary Gala dinner and honour a legacy of compassion, hope and stamping out the stigma against mental health.
