The Kaleidoscope Plus Group’s Community Wellbeing Worker, Amy Watling-Cash will be facilitating a new group to support bereavement and loss in the new year
When a bereavement or loss happens it can often be a shocking and traumatic time. Grief is a natural response to loss. It’s the emotional suffering you feel when something or someone you love is taken away. How we experience loss is completely unique to each and every individual, but the single most important factor in healing from loss is having the support of other people. Sharing your experiences of loss in a safe and non-judgemental, confidential place will ease the burden of grief. The new Bereavement & Loss Support Group is an ideal space.
Amy who shall be facilitating the group is trained in specific support and also offers focused Anxiety & Depression support groups.
She said: “It may well be the bereavement of a loved one that is causing your grief and we are here to listen and help you make sense of everything you are feeling.”
Amy also urges us to remember; all too often we neglect to seek support when anything is lost and our circumstances change out of our control.
She added: “Often we don’t seek help or support for other losses we suffer, like our own loss of identity through a difficult phase in life, such as depression or the loss of our relationship after a divorce or break up.
“The new Bereavement & Loss Support Group helps you deal with all manner of loss.”
