The Kaleidoscope Plus Group’s service user involvement strategy, People In Mind (PIM) have officially opened their charity shop.
The charity shop is based at The Kaleidoscope Plus Group head office, Hawthorns House, on the ground floor of the building and will be open Monday-Friday from 11:00am-03:00pm.
The shop will be managed by PIM members with all the funds raised from the venture going to the charity.
One of PIM’s lead members, Neelam Sandhu helped with the launch of the charity shop and is delighted that it’s finally open.
She said: “It’s taken a lot of hard work from all PIM members to get this charity shop up and running and I feel honoured to have been chosen to cut the ribbon and officially open it.
“I would like to say thank you to everyone who helped set it up and donated goods for us to sell.”
Natalie Tucker was the first customer to buy something from the charity shop and was overjoyed when she found out.
She said: “To find out I was the very first customer at the charity shop was amazing as everybody will always remember the first customer.”
She added: “With so much on offer, at such great prices I’m sure that I will be visiting the shop on a regular basis especially knowing all the money raised goes back to The Kaleidoscope Plus Group.
“Let’s hope the donations keeping rolling in as I’m sure the sales will too.”
The charity shop welcomes donations of all sizes and quantiles; whether that be clothes, household items or bric-a-brac.
