Community Wellbeing’s Liz Webster hosted The Kaleidoscope Plus Group Christmas Gift and Craft Fayre at the start of December at our head office, Hawthorns House raising £600 for the charity.

The fayre showcased 27 craft stalls, a mince pie station and was topped off with a visit from Santa for all the children to enjoy!

The festive occasion was supported by many local businesses including Yummilicious Homemade Jams, Anne’s Cosy Kitchen, Mindful Gift Shop, Heavenly Irresistible Melts and Gifts, Cloth Circles, Desjigns, Cute Hangers, PeeWees and Junia Creations.

Liz, who had been organising the Christmas Fayre over the past few months was overjoyed with the amount raised from the event and the feedback she received from attendees and organisations.

She said: “To have raised £300 from the raffle prize draw and refreshments, £270 from stalls booked and £30 from People In Mind charity shop items was great!

“We have had some fantastic feedback from stall holders and tenants at Hawthorns House who said they would definitely return next year which is wonderful to hear.

“I would like to say a massive thank you to everybody who attended the fayre and donated prizes as well as a special thank you to the local Slimming World Group for their donation of two handmade food hampers.”
