During one of the hottest weekends of the summer, The Kaleidoscope Plus Group’s Community wellbeing service headed off to Barmouth beach as part of ‘Wellbeing at the Weekend’.
‘Wellbeing at the Weekend’ is a variety of exciting groups and activities over the weekend that allows the charity to continually offer its services and prevents service users feeling isolated and lonely over the weekend.
The action packed day included a scenic train ride over the sea, a picturesque walk across Barmouth beach and finest fish and chips Barmouth had to offer.
The Barmouth beach trip was organised by Community Wellbeing Worker, Liz Rogers who has no doubt it will be a day out service users will never forget and hopes return to Barmouth again.
She said: “All the service users had a wonderful time despite having to depart from Wolverhampton at 8:45am.
“They were treated to a memorable train journey which ended with stunning train ride past the sea and we even managed to find time to indulge in some multi award winning ice cream!
“The day was topped off with a peaceful stroll down the sunny beach of Barmouth and the best fish and chips I’ve ever tasted alongside to the glistening Barmouth seafront.
“I must admit, it has to be one of best trips I have been on in a long time and not winning any prizes in the local arcades gives us an excuse to go back next year!”
