The Kaleidoscope Plus Group were on hand to see 15 ex-professional footballers graduate from the On Board Scheme

Our Chief Executive Monica Shafaq and Director of Finance Louise Biffin were delighted to be invited down to Wembley to celebrate a very special graduation!

Monica and Louise were on hand to see 15 ex-professional footballers graduate from an accredited course called On Board – an initiative aimed at getting more black and ethnic minority ex-footballers on to the board of directors across a wide range of sectors and organisations including charities.

The scheme endorsed by the FA and the PFA was developed by a good friend of The Kaleidoscope Plus Group, Karl George MBE.

Here at The Kaleidoscope Plus Group we played our part by helping out students with the offer of first-hand experience of board meetings and the important role of governance.

Monica, who also chairs ACEVO’s (Association of Chief Executives of Voluntary Organisations) Black & Asian Interest Group, whose aim is to raise awareness of diversity within organisations and on boards, was delighted to have been invited to get involved with this scheme and hope it’s the first of many moving forward.

Monica and Louise had the chance to congratulate the graduates during their visit to Wembley including former West Bromwich Albion favourite and On Board graduate Jason Roberts.
