The Kaleidoscope Plus Group’s Community Wellbeing Service went off to Stratford-upon-Avon to explore the unique landmarks across the town as part of Wellbeing at the Weekend.
Stratford-upon-Avon is a market town in Warwickshire on the River Avon which receives over 4.9 million visitors a year.
The town is popular tourist destination for fans of English playwright and poet, William Shakespeare who was born in Stratford-upon-Avon.
The weekend trip was facilitated by Community Wellbeing’s; Rebecca Clark who believes all the service users who came along thoroughly enjoyed themselves.
She said: “Stratford-upon-Avon is a great town to explore as it has many iconic attractions to visit from Shakespeare’s birthplace to the Swan Theatre.
“Many of our service users have never travelled outside of Sandwell so the trip was a real adventure.
“Some of the our servicer users were even talking about taking some of their families to Stratford-upon-Avon which is fantastic as this would encourage them to ‘be active’ which is one of our 5 Ways to Wellbeing!”
