#TeamKPG Charity Partner raises thousands for Mental Health and Suicide Prevention

My Policy is a telematics provider in the West Midlands and each year choose a charity to raise money for throughout the year. In 2019 they chose The Kaleidoscope Plus Group and made it their mission to raise as much money as they could for Mental Health and Suicide Prevention Services delivered by #TeamKPG.

Back in May 2019 the organisation set themselves a challenge to ride 423 miles in one day to mark Mental Health Awareness Day and smashed their target whilst raising incredible amounts of money! They were then also joined by Kally Kaleidosaurus to cheer on and also take part in their  fundraising static cycle ride! There was a fantastic atmosphere in the office and a real joy to see so many employees getting on board for Mental Health Awareness.

Health and Wellbeing Coach, Erin Lacey from #TeamKPG facilitated Mindfulness/Halloween fun day and Self-care sessions for employees at My Policy during the partnership.

After their hard efforts over 2019 My Policy raised an outstanding £4157.80 all of which will be put towards our Mental Health and Suicide Prevention Services in the West Midlands. Everyone at The Kaleidoscope Plus Group would like to say a huge well done to the organisation for their hard work and commitment to their fundraising. We wish you all the success on your next fundraising adventure.

The Kaleidoscope Plus Group Chief Executive Monica Shafaq said:

I want to formally thank Amy Rushton and the team at My Policy for choosing The Kaleidoscope Plus Group as their charity partner during 2019.

Mental illness effects 1 in 4 people in the UK and impacts on relationships, employment, education and other social/economic factors. It is the biggest cause of sickness absence from work and effects people of all ages, backgrounds and genders.  Someone dies by suicide every two hours in the UK with over 90% of those dying having a mental health illness.

The teams fundraising efforts raised an incredible £4157.80 which will help The Kaleidoscope Plus Group reduce these shocking statistics – and for this we are truly grateful. Thank you once again for your support and I wish you all the very best for the future.
