Victim Support West Midlands were generous enough to supply The Kaleidoscope Plus Group with defender alarms as a safety tool to protect our staff.
The MKA Torch Defender will allow our staff to have easy access to panic alarms in case of an emergency. The personal alarm device is equipped with a 130dBS siren and also comes with a factory fitted LED Torch. In addition, the Defender is of a police preferred specification and has been rigorously tested to reduce crime.
Victim Support West Midlands are an independent charity who work towards a world where people affected by crime or traumatic events get the support they need and the respect they deserve. They help people feel safer and find the strength to move beyond crime by offering free, confidential and tailored support.
Volunteer and Victim Services Manager from the Sandwell Team of Victim Support West Midlands, Dave Cox was kind enough to donate the defender alarms to The Kaleidoscope Plus Group and knows they will prove a useful tool.
He said: “The Defenders will be great aids to The Kaleidoscope Plus Group as it will mean if staff are ever faced with hostile situations, they will be able to sound the alarm, ensuring they stay safe.”
Our Chief Executive, Monica Shafaq was grateful for the alarms as she feels staff safety is paramount.
She said: “I would like to say a massive thank you to Dave and everybody at Victim Support West Midlands for providing our staff with these devices.
“Safety is very important to us at the charity and I know that these alarms will only aid us whether that is in regards our support workers, psychological wellbeing practitioners or wellbeing workers.”
