The Community Wellbeing Team

Our Community Wellbeing Team held a two day team building session at The Kaleidoscope Plus Group’s head office, Hawthorns House.

The Community Wellbeing Team focus on delivering structures for supporting people to manage their own health and wellbeing, and to stay well with services being delivered across the Black Country, open to anyone over the age of 16.

The team building days incorporated team training and team building exercises which encouraged positive thinking and primarily focused on useful tools for managing emotions effectively.

In addition to this, one of the core elements of the team training was to create a Community Wellbeing mission statement.

After much deliberation the team choose:

W – Welcoming
E – Enabling
L – Listening
L – Life Changing
B – Black Country Wide
E – Empowering
I – Inclusive
N – Noticing
G – Group Focused

Community Wellbeing Worker, Liz Rogers is a member of the Wellbeing Team who helped create the Community Wellbeing mission statement and completed the team building days.

She said: “I believe our new mission statement is perfect reflection of what our service delivers as it’s a fantastic reminder of the work we do within the community and why we exist.

“The training days were a great way to bond with my team; especially as in our day to day jobs we spend a lot of time lone working and facilitating groups meaning we don’t always get to see one another.

“After completing the various activities over the two days I feel that I will be able to provide a better a service to our service users which can only be a good thing.”
