3. Talk to somebody that you trust and try and meet up with them if possible

4. Book yourself a GP appointment to discuss how you are feeling

5. Try to avoid alcohol or mood altering substances

6. Go to a place where you feel safe – whether it be a friend’s house or a public place

7. Try to do activities you enjoy which take your mind off what you are thinking

8. Keep a journal of how you are feeling – it may really help to write it down

9. Don’t think about the future, just focus on keeping yourself safe – whether its hour by hour or day by day

10. Create a safe plan
