Walsall FC welcome Kaleidoscope Plus Group for matchday takeover.

Walsall FC fans are being urged to support those struggling with their mental health and wellbeing when the Saddlers host Carlisle United on Monday 10 April. The Easter Monday game is a takeover from one of their official charity partners, the Kaleidoscope Plus Group.

The Midlands based charity helps thousands of people across the UK each year and offers a range of services for people in need, struggling with their mental health and emotional wellbeing.

Kaleidoscope Plus Group’s volunteers will be at the Poundland Bescot Stadium on Monday 10 April during Walsall FC’s League Two clash with Carlisle United, and the charity have teamed up with the Saddlers to offer a special raffle with the lucky winner having chance to win tickets for the Hayward’s Hottest seat in the house for the final home game of the season.  All money raised from unique raffle being used to provide vital support for the people who need it most.

Hayward Transport, currently occupy the box but are keen to see deserving members of the community enjoy the experience of a matchday from the View Box – the hottest seat in the house and this provides the lucky winner to enjoy the matchday experience whilst raising valuable funds for the Midlands based charity.

Monica Shafaq, CEO of The Kaleidoscope Plus Group, said: “We are thrilled to be joining our friends at Walsall FC at the Poundland Bescot Stadium on Monday. The support we receive from the club is truly fantastic and we are so grateful for that.

“Our ethos has always been to help people feel good whether that be through the support they receive or the experience they have when fundraising or volunteering for us, so to have this takeover in the year we celebrate our 50th anniversary is fantastic, and I’m so excited that we can offer such a great prize to the raffle winner.

“The money raised will enable our team to continue promoting positive health and wellbeing, challenging the stigma that surrounds mental health, and creating inclusive communities and help us to provide life-changing services for those who are in need.”

Kaleidoscope Plus Group, who were announced as one of the official charity partners of Walsall FC for the 2022/23 season, provide crucial mental health support services to the community and have five decades of experience in providing mental health support to thousands of people across the UK.

Walsall FC captain, Donervon Daniels was announced in January as one of the charities newest charity ambassadors.

“Mental health is a big topic in our house. Mental health problems exist in our lives, families, workplaces, and communities, impacting everyone. We need to continue the conversation around mental health and remove the stigma that surrounds it. I cannot wait to learn from the team at Kaleidoscope Plus Group and I’m looking forward to offering my support to the charity as much as I can.”
