Kaleidoscope Plus Group are delighted to confirm that they are now the official sponsors of Tividale Football Club for the 2022/23 season. Tividale enjoyed a solid season in the Midland Football League Premier Table last term, finishing 11th and going from strength to strength. This sponsorship has come off the back of our very own Monica Shafaq joining the Tividale board, being appointed as a pivotal individual in their aim of developing the community, equality, and wellbeing strategy.
Monica Shafaq answered a few questions with the local media covering this story, saying “It’s really exciting and we’re really honoured to be part of such a well-known and loved football team within the West Midlands.
“It’s great to work within football teams, and especially those at this level that are well-known and more about community engagement than anything. Football is one of those sports that brings people together, which works wonders when it comes to raising awareness about mental health. As we’re currently coming out of a pandemic and facing issues like the energy price rise crisis, mental health is something we must prioritise and ensure we’re there for one another. It’s really important to us that we have partnerships like this.
“We want to break down the stigma that’s associated with mental health. If there is someone who’s struggling and is reluctant to reach out and gain support, we want them to feel encouraged to do so. But we want everyone to know that support is available and where to go because sometimes people don’t know where to turn, we’ll be happy to help everyone that gets in touch.
“When it comes to mental health, you’re not alone, and there are lots of people who are in a similar situation. You are more likely to come across somebody who is having suicidal thoughts than someone who is going to have a heart attack, that’s how prevalent it is in society – so making people aware of the facts and the services available is really important to us.”
