On Thursday 19th May, the first Sovereign Charity Golf Event took place alongside The Winning Post public house in Worcester. The beautiful course of Bewdley Pines hosted 22 teams as they stepped out in the sun for a glorious day of golf and raising funds & awareness for Kaleidoscope Plus Group, a mental health charity offering help and support for those who need it most.

Sovereign were supported on the day by leaders within the dealer channel including Exertis, Vow, CTS Toners, EBB, MDK Seating, Balrey, ORN Workwear, TC Office, and DAMS. With special mentions to James McKeever SNR and William Evans who worked tirelessly to organise the event and raise funds on the day, they really helped to make the difference. With another huge thank you to everyone who was generous enough to donate from the supplier’s which also added to the day.

Overall, £1,275.00 was raised for Kaleidoscope as well as a great amount of exposure and awareness for the services we offer. Group Sales Director, James McKeever commented, “Absolutely delighted with the support and attendance for the day. Kaleidoscope Plus Group is an unbelievable charity which breaks down the stigma attached to mental health and diversifies across all aspects relating to it. They’re a local charity with a national reach, offering 24/ 7 availability to help, they truly are a fantastic organisation.”
The event will now be repeated for 2023 with a few surprises and an auction added the agenda and run up to the day.

We thoroughly enjoyed the day out in Worcestershire, where it was great to meet so many new faces and learn about what they do for a career. The money raised is a massive help as we try to help those who are going through a difficult stage with their mental health, and this amount of money can help fund over 20 counselling sessions for a person that is struggling mentally and with their wellbeing.

After the event, Gary Wheway, our Head of Business Development and Fundraising said: “We are so grateful to these brilliant fundraising events and for everyone at Sovereign Office for organising, as well as Bewdley Pines for hosting such a beautiful course and of course the 22 participatinng teams. The funds raised today are vital for us to help people of all backgrounds combat their troubles. The money really helps support our early intervention mental health and wellbeing services, which are vital and save hundreds of lives each year.
